Partitioning / Dry lining

Dry lining is a generic term applied to the use of plasterboard on timber or metal frame work.In most applications plasterboard's are fixed to stud work, which comprises of timber or metal studs in which the plasterboard is screw fixed into.

Dot and Dab

Dot and dab is process in which plasterboard is bonded to masonry walls using dabs of adhesive that vary in depth dependant on the level of the surface you are applying it to.

Plastering

After installation of the plasterboard a thin plaster coat covers the entire wall, as to ensure a smooth and seamless finish, North South can apply plaster internally and externally as well as offering full render services.

Ceilings

North South Contracting Services can offer a full range of suspended ceiling installations, including: Suspended Ceilings, Mineral Fibre, Metal and Wood. A typical dropped ceiling consists of a grid-work of metal channels, suspended on wires from the overhead structure. Tiles can be selected with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, plastic, or mineral fiber, and can come in almost any colour.

Joinery 1st fix & 2nd Fix

First Fix joinery would consist of the Installation of Floor joists, Door Frames and Floors, Internal timber stud work for walls. Second Fix joinery would consist of the Installation of Doors, finished floors, architrave's, skirting's, and all associated ironmongery.

Taping & Jointing

Once plasterboard's are fixed into place, in the location of the two edges of plasterboard's meet there is a seam. These seams are covered with mesh tape and then the seams and the screw heads are concealed with the drywall compound to make the wall one uniform piece. Once dry, sanding is required and the addition of a second coat is applied as to ensure a smooth seamless finish.

Bespoke Joinery

Flooring

North South can offer full flooring services from screeding to full polished concrete floors, as we as the supply & Installation of Industrial and domestic contract flooring, including carpet tiles, vinyl (including coving and capping)

Painting & Decoration

North South Contracting Services can offer a full range high quality painting and decoration, our services include: High quality wall coverings, Mist Coating and top coats, Varnishing and staining, French polishing and Off & On Site spray finish.

Maintenance

All aspects are covered from basic property maintenance and repair to full building maintenance. North South Contracts Ltd will do every job internally and externally from installing partitions and creating meeting rooms, to painting, decorating, plumbing and ground works.

Each project will be discussed and priced accordingly, North South Contracting Services maintenance teams can be on site undertaking required works within 24 hours of a client's request.
